Working with sister company Poker Central, ESP Gaming has developed an esports studio in Las Vegas, which will be located at the Aria Resort & Casino and debut in May. The PokerGO Studio will reportedly host live events including those involving the Vainglory Premier League. ESP Gaming recently teamed up with Super Evil Megacorp, the creator of the Vainglory mobile esports league.

According to VentureBeat, Poker Central will own and operate the studio, which will be 10,000 square feet in size and will be able to accommodate as many as 300 people. This will be small by esports standards but create an intimate setting for gameplay. The occupancy levels include a space for fans and spectators that can hold as many as 120 people.

While most esports events will fill a full stadium, ESP Gaming is focusing on creating a venue that will provide fans with a VIP experience. Organizers of esports tournaments can film the events at the studio and then broadcast the footage live, as gameplay happens. PokerGO Studio will provide an intimate setting as it will be smaller than the standard esports studio.

Along with offering esports events, Poker Central has plans to use the space for live events that will be streamed over PokerGO, its subscription service. The first event to be streamed at the new studio will be a special edition of Poker After Dark, which is scheduled for May 16-18.

The new studio will have several sound stages that will include the main studio along with a lounge, plus a break desk. The setup will create a flexible space where a wide selection of both esports and poker events can take place.

Las Vegas is becoming a hot spot for esports arena, with the ESP Gaming venue being the second to launch on the Strip. Allied Esports and MGM Resorts International created the Esports Arena Las Vegas to host esports events within the Luxor Hotel & Casino, with the arena just opening last month.
