In Maryland, local casino operator The Cordish Companies has announced that it will soon finish construction on the 310-room luxury hotel tower for its Live! Casino and Hotel Maryland and has begun accepting reservations for May 22 onwards.

The Cordish Companies stated that the $200 million project is to be christened as Live! Hotel with its lobby featuring a Luckies coffee shop alongside an enlarged Shop Live! retail outlet selling lottery tickets, snacks and a range of branded merchandise. It declared that visitors to the 350,000 sq ft venue will also be able to enjoy David’s restaurant as well as the 50-seat The Lobby Bar At David’s live entertainments area, a spa, a beauty salon, an extensively-equipped gym and an external patio area.

David Cordish, Chairman for Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies, proclaimed that he is ‘eager to welcome our first guests to Live! Hotel’ so that they may experience ‘something truly remarkable’. He explained that the coming venue is to combine ‘dynamic gaming, first-class accommodations, entertainment, dining and retail’ in addition to ‘our trademark customer service’ with his firm currently hiring staff to fill numerous management, catering, environmental and spa positions.

“This all-inclusive experience has been a vision since we first opened Live! Casino and Hotel Maryland and it is thrilling to see it come to fruition in a way that exceeds even our greatest expectations” read a Monday statement from Cordish.

Located in the Baltimore suburb of Hannover and adjacent to the 1,630,000 sq ft Arundel Mills shopping center, what is the first Live!-branded hotel in the world is due to grow even larger from June following the debut of its Grand Event Center. The Cordish Companies declared that this 20,000 sq ft addition is to feature an 800-seat ballroom for meetings and events alongside six breakout rooms and a concert space capable of holding up to 1,500 people.

The Cordish Companies also operates the nearby 250-room Live! Lofts boutique hotel and revealed that the Grand Event Center will subsequently double in size from the spring of 2019 with the seating capacity for its concert venue growing to 4,000.

Hotel here,” read a statement from Blake Cordish, Vice-President for The Cordish Companies. “The combination we are now offering with the luxury Live! Hotel, Live! Lofts boutique hotel and one of the nation’s top casinos is unmatched.”
