Martin Jacobson’s poker career started in 2008 when he won an entry into the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. He had the option to take the $10,000 buy-in in cash and forego competing, but Jacobson decided to compete after advice from his mom. Sadly, he was out after only three hands. For the next few years, Jacobson became known as a top competitor, but a poker player without a major win. Then in 2014, the pro managed to win the WSOP Main Event, snagging $10 million in prize money. After the big win, Jacobson continued to use his skills in the game and now joins the top poker brand 888poker.

In a press release discussing his new role at 888, Jacobson stated that he and the online poker brand have a mutual interest to make poker great again. The two want to take back the game, with 888poker having a goal to host prestigious events that are affordable to players and have huge prize pool guarantees.

When asked why he chose 888poker, Jacobson stated that they are a world leader when it comes to innovation. The poker pro pointed out how the brand has implemented the Action clock during Main Events as well as High Roller tournaments, plus showing an interest in listening to players and taking action based on player feedback.

Jacobson plans on using 888poker’s willingness to listen to players and use his experience and understanding of the game, to help the brand achieve their goals to improve their poker product and services for members with better accuracy.
